Practically\u00a0speaking, the airport is approximately 8.7km (this is less than 25\u20ac in a taxi) and Corfu Town is 9.6km. Looking at a map of Corfu, you will see that it is around 80km long and 25 km wide (at the widest point), or 2km wide at it\u2019s narrowes. Bellou Villas are located centrally (longitudinally). The location means that you are able to visit both the North and South of the island very easily and you will not need to travel more than an hour in either direction to reach each end of the island. It is advised you rent a car for your stay (we can help arrange this so please let us know during your booking), but for those that are not comfortable driving on the other side of the road \u2013 or simply don\u2019t want to \u2013 there is a regular bus service into town and from there you can pretty much travel to most places on the island.<\/p>\n<p>Aside from being centrally located there are also a number of more local attractions. If we start with the beaches, which are all less than a 10 minute drive, you have; Kontoyalos, Pelekas beach, Ermones and one of the finest beaches, Glyfada beach. For families with younger children the Island\u2019s water park \u2013 Aqualand \u2013 3.2km away, the golf course and Gouvia Marina are 6.5km and 7.8km away, respectively.
